I don't get it why do we have to have this spring forward and fall back . I would prefer to have my day light on the end of the day instead of the front. OR decide on one or the other and stick with it. Its like somebody can't make up their mind. At any rate I'm looking at sunset here in the woods at 530 and just about the time I get used to that we're going to spring forward in March.

Great week in Mo. Cardinals won the World Series I'm not sure its actually the World series. I did'nt hear of any other countries competing, but St. Louis is bursting with pride anyway.

I'm going to try and get to the City tomorrow and do some random shooting (Camera type shooting) gotta be careful how I say that.

I may run down to Dallas and help Jim hang his next show being numb on one side doesn't lend itself to climbing on ladders. Hope to hear something positive about that this week sometime. Hang in there James.
I'm going to post a few images of the sunset this evening and the clear sky. Since we have know street lights here you get to see a clear sky with little or no reflection from city lights.

It was a great day. The kids had fun with the apple butter and craving and it was just a good day all around.
I'm posting some images of our day. The first two are of Nathan and I with our pumpkins.

Well today is a off day for the little people although their not all that little anymore. Karen and i picked up apples yesterday and since the kids are at our house today we thought we would take advantage of some cheap labor. Well affordable labor. The images posted today are of the kids and Karen and I peeling the apples and getting them ready for cooking ,18 hours I'm told. The peeler did'nt work well but it did slice them and core them so thats part of the battle. Liz ate quie a few but there good for you right??
I'm just going to post these real quick and ad some Pumpkin carving images later.

We baked a cake today. Used up a cake mix that was in the cabinet for a while. Well whats a cake without icing. I was looking through this old cook book of Karens it's just falling apart and we have many others but this old Betty Crocker is where we always go for info. I got to the icing section and there where to hand written note book sheets of recipies of icing from my Aunt Katie. She passed sometime ago and she was really like my sister when we were growing up. I spent a little time thinking about growing up and having her around and all the card parties and meals at my grandparents house where all the cousins got together it was a very special time its to bad the next generation of cousins don't get to see or know each other we really had a good time and created some great memories.
Its to bad family's don't get to see one another more often and exchange some of the stories and family history. I'm afraid it's going to get lost.
This winter I'm going to start working on some old photos of family and try and get them to DVD so they won't get lost.
I'm going to be thinking about the hand written sheets for a while.
Maybe it would be good to e-mail a family member tomorrow and just let know your thinking about them and laugh together

The woods are just exploding with color now and all it will take is a good size storm and all this color will be on the ground. I thught it would make an interesting shot to show you all what I get to see in the morning from my Lazy Boy. So the first image is looking out the windows of our living room and the second is through the blinds in the kitchen.




The third is just more color with the help of the sun ,it was a clear and sunny day today in the low 70's.



The last image is more color and Molly checking her pee mail this morning.

HOW BOUT THOSE CARDS. I"m going to try and get downtown next week and take some pictures of the people partying and getting ready for the third game of the world series.
All in all a pretty good day. I'm working on my corn stove its just about time to fire it up.
