made it to Surfside Beach today. We took a family vacation their three years ago. It was a beautiful day and I took some pictures. I'll post one here now and I plan to go back their this week before we leave.

Memorial yesterday and the planes along with a visiting vet to the site was emotional for me. I believe we forget the sacrifice's that have been made for us over the years so we can live free. So I took some pictures and chatted with the visiting vet. He is celebrating his 50th anniversary today of his enlistment and service. I don't have much else to say about it other than thank you Vets.






Ok this time next week we'll be packing up for our trip home. But until than we continue to explore and this weekend its supposed to be warm so TO THE BEACH.

in Myrtle Beach after a quick visit to Portsmouth to visit my Va. cousins. It ws a good visit and I may return this summer for another.
We spent Sunday evening with Bill and Kim and picked up the dog and got back here early afternoon. Naps and relaxing are on the menu for a couple of days.

here we are in Myrtle Beach with a winter storm bearing down on us. We still have two weeks and so far its been unseasonably cold here so say the locals. We planned on tripping to Portsmouth to see some of my relatives and we're going to still try and slip (bad choice of words) between the storms and see them this weekend. So we head to Bill and Kim's this morning ahead of the SC storm and see if the roads are clear tomorrow morning to finish the trip to Va.
I'm not sure we're going to beat the snow and if we don't we stay at B&K's till we can see clear road one direction or another. This would really be complicated if we were really on a schedule we had to keep.
Ok that's it for now we will see what the day brings and by the way bring it on.

flea market and the Mrytle Beach State Park. The market wasn't open today (thank you god) but it will be open tomorrow. So we check it out tomorrow. The State park has an admission fee but with our senior status it was not unreasonable and the accessibility to the beach and fishing pier was great and will be a great place to record some images.
I'm posting two both from the park. One is a portrait of Karen and I and the second is of the pier.
We're off to see the Va. Fredericks over the weekend.
