the little thing that make the difference. It seems like the year has just flown by. I had lots of trouble staying motivated this year with the heat and all but when I look a little closer I had no trouble getting to my appointed time at EE. So I'm thinking the motivation factor has more to do with enjoying the things I'm doing rather than motivation. The only reason I'm working on the house is to protect an investment and as far as the yard is concerned ,,while I like outside activity I really don't care about the grass but when it looks bad it reflects on those in charge of it.
When we decided to get another dog I new it was going to be a pain but its a get up off your ass and move around kind of pain so its been good for us. Sadie is a little pee and poop machine and she just about has Karen and I house trained. I'm posting a few images of her and Molly. I am truly amazed as to the change in Molly. The fun in watching these two interact has made the aggravation worth it.



I'm hoping to get all the DIY stuff out of the way soon so I can do some things just for me or us and just kick back and have some fun.
Borgia won their opener last night and the first home game next week will be a hoot. We'll be there.

would put a temporary hold on the dog picture's for a while and add one that will help remind all of us that when we don't have hot weather in Mo. it could be very cold.


Now that we have that out of the way no real news here just plugging away at DIY stuff. I go to a training session on horse handling at EE tomorrow and the Fall session will start in a couple of weeks.

like the weather is breaking a bit and I'm getting some of my balance back from my bout with heat exhaustion. I'm starting to get my energy back and now its time to try and finish the home owner projects that lay in wait for better weather.
The summer session finished this week at EE and the Fall session will start in a couple of weeks. I continue to be a bit frustrated as to what appears to be a lack of progress at EE with the building and improvements but I'm sure someone is working on it it just takes time. The bitchy neighbors didn't help the process but I'm hoping in time they will see the benefits and let us all be good neighbors.
The dogs continue to be a joy to watch and an aggravation to train. We want to go to NC this fall sometime but if the little dog is not house trained I don't want to soil someone else's carpet.
I'm posting two picture of the girls (as we refer to them". Molly seems to be saying "how long is she going to be so cute and such a pain" and Sadie seems to be saying "what can I do next".
All is well here otherwise.

the middle of August and the summer although there's lot's of warm weather still ahead it seem's the year has slipped away. The heat has changed what and how I do things quite a bit this year and I'm struggling with the fact that there are some things I can no longer do.
On the other hand we've added to our pack. Molly is a great dog and companion and continues to be a joy to have. We thought long and hard about adding another dog to our pack.
After lots of prodding from Nathan and Liz we got a new friend for Molly. We decided on a Boxer mostly because of Bills boxer Buddy. He is so loving and smart we felt we would break our pattern of Labs and so here's Sadie!!!!


We weren't sure how molly would take this decision ,she was not responsive when we asked her so we took a chance. The first day was ,"this is my space don't mess with me" and the second and since it has gotten progressively better until now it looks like they are best friend's and play and look for one another through out the day.

I'm still trying to figure out if I want to continue with this space as I'm not very motivated right now with blogs and photography. I continue to volunteer at EE and and do some restoration work. When the weather breaks for good maybe some road trip's with the pack and camera will get me moving again.

say warm and humid?? It is very uncomfortable outside. As bad as it is I still prefer this over cold weather.
This is just a short update. Jim is back from Spain and all seems ok. Bill and Kim's first time home buyer snafu has been resolved, Dave and family are all doing well. Nathans at basketball camp this week and Liz is a certified babysitter. Our large pile of topsoil has been leveled as previously mentioned here and we have some grass instead of the blue tarp. Karen is taking Y pump from the Y and I'm doing two days at EE a week. Three sessions on Monday and two on Thursday. Three sessions in this heat is all I'm able to do and than its nap time.
Lets see I think that's about it ,,,,ooh Molly is doing well to she doesn't like the heat or water just treats and her pillow.
I'm still doing some shooting but for the most part I'm unmotivated at the moment.
