About the Artist
I've lived my entire life in the Mid West, married my high school sweetheart and raised three sons. For over 40 years I've worked in the printing and prepress industries working from one end of the process to the other.
The advancement of the digital process and my retirement has made it possible for me to pursue a long time hobby and interest much more seriously.
My last six years in the industry were spent working with color correction, retouching, as well as working with client images and color concerns. Armed with this experience, an 8 mega pixel SLR camera , a few lenses and the ability to view most situations through a portrait or landscape frame brings us to today.
I get asked "what kind of pictures do you take", the answer simply is casual. I always start a shooting day with subject matter in mind but always shoot what's available or what strikes my eye at the time. For instance while waiting for a sunset I may spend all my time shooting a small frog on a leaf or a bag worm glowing in the sunlight. If I'm shooting people usually the most interesting shots are those of everyone getting ready for the shot. The photo of someone struggling with tying their tie is usually better than the one with everything in place.
So there you have it, a bit of information about me. I hope to share my image captures with you and my hope is that you find something that strikes your eye or makes you tilt your head a bit or just stops you for a moment and lets you take a few extra breaths.
great day
